Dencie Morrison Royse age 96 years of the Sparksville Community, Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 8:13amCT, at her home.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 3pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Landis, Bro. Elbert Hadley, and Bro. Steve Pesco Pescosolido officiating. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, 8147 Burkesville RD, Columbia, KY.



Pallbearers: Marvin Spoon, Odie Spoon, Dwayne Coomer, Larry Reliford, Jimmy Reliford and James Allen Coomer.

Dencie Morrison Royse, Adair Co., KY (1915-2011)

She was born on Friday, January 15, 1915 in Adair County. She was the daughter of the late Arvie Lee and Ella Bryant Morrison. She died Sunday, May 29, 2011, in Sparksville, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 96 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Troy Morrison.

Survived by the following:
  • One daughter Claudette Harris and husband Darrell of Columbia, KY

  • One step grandson: Phillip Harris

  • Two step great grandchildren Christopher Harris and Rachel Harris.
She was a member of the Sparksville Baptist Church and had worked at a chemical factory in Illinois.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Gideons Bibles or a donation to the Sparksville Baptist Church Building Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
