CU welcomes new trustees Chris Reynolds and Jane Wheatley

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Chris Reynolds and Jane Wheatley have been named as members of the Board of Trustees at Campbellsville University, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.



Chris Reynolds was manager of Fruit of the Loom

Reynolds is the president and partner of Campbellsville Apparel Company, which was formed by a group of managers from the former Fruit of the Loom factory. He has served at Campbellsville Apparel since December 1998 and was manager at Fruit of the Loom from May 1980 to December 1998.

He has also served as a member of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Authority and as chair of the board of trustees at Taylor Regional Hospital.

Reynolds was the secretary of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Industrial Development Authority Board for 10 years, and has served as secretary and second vice chair on the Governors Work Force Investment Board since 2000.

Reynolds is a long-time supporter of Campbellsville University, attending athletic sporting events and will bring financial and management expertise to the Campbellsville University Board of Trustees, Carter said.

He graduated from Taylor County High School and holds a business degree from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky. He is a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and serves as a deacon and assistant Sunday School director.

Reynolds is married to Karen Kay Reynolds; they have three daughters: Sarah Morgan Reynolds, Emily Kristen Reynolds and Hannah Katelyn Reynolds.

Wheatley is CEO of the Taylor Regional Hospital

Wheatley is the CEO of the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville and has also served as the chief financial officer and support services administrator, the director of finance and a senior accountant. She was the chairman for the Ohio Valley District of the Kentucky Hospital Association, a member of Rotary and has been secretary and treasurer for the Taylor County Industrial Development Authority.

She was named Campbellsville-Taylor County's Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 2006. In 2003 she was named Young Careerist of the Year by Business & Professional Women.

Wheatley is a Campbellsville University alumna; she holds a bachelor of science in organizational management from CU. She also holds fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Together with Taylor Regional Hospital, Wheatley helped support the university's efforts to start the successful School of Nursing, Carter said.

She is a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church where she is a former Sunday School and church training teacher.

She has a daughter, Jaclyn Nicole Dabney, a 2001 CU graduate, and a son, David Landon Dickens, a 2008 graduate, and three grandchildren, Hayden, Noah and Reid Dabney.
