Blue Raider Men's Tennis Trio Named NAIA All-Americans

2011 NAIA All-Americans: Fabricio Morales makes second team; Andrews Moraes and Victor Saez are honorable mention All-Americans on list released Wednesday, May 25, 2011

COLUMBIA, KY- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Lindsey Wilson College's Andrews Moraes, Fabricio Morales and Victor Saez as 2011 Men's Tennis All-Americans, national office officials announced on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.

Players were selected by the All-America committee. Thirty-two student-athletes were named to the first and second teams, while 21 others were honorable-mention selections.



Morales was a second-team selection, while Moraes and Saez earned spots on the list as honorable-mention all-Americans.

Morales went 16-2 overall and 4-0 in Mid-South Conference play in singles, playing every match from the No. 1 position as a freshman for the Blue Raiders. The Cancun, Mexico native finished the season on a 13-match winning streak.

Moraes handled the No. 2 singles' spot the majority of the season, going 13-2 there, while also putting together a 4-0 mark as the No. 3 seed. The senior, Sao Paulo, Brazil native also teamed at doubles with his classmate Andre Santos at the No. 1 position where they finished with an 18-3 record.

Saez ended his sophomore campaign with a 15-3 singles' record playing matches at the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 seeds, although the majority of his work came at the third spot where he finished a perfect 13-0, winning 13 straight matches to end the season.

Morales and Saez teamed at doubles for 19 matches at the No. 2 position, finishing 17-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

Lindsey Wilson finished the season 15-6 overall and 3-1 in MSC action after being eliminated from the NAIA National Championship with a 5-0 loss against Auburn University Montgomery (AL).
