Adair Relay of Life 2011: $81,100+ and climbing!

News from the 2011 Adair County Relay for Life

Figures for the 2011 Relay for Life are nearly complete, but are still climbing at the time of this writing. Already we know the total is $81,100-plus, and donations are still coming in.

Winners of awards were:
  • A Class Act: won for raising the most money, $10,363.
  • SWAT: won as the team which raised most money in a church/family, $7,504
  • Sue's Stars: Golden Pillowcase award
  • Walmart: 1st Place, Best Decorated Campsite
    2nd place, Westlake Regional Hospital; 3rd Place, A Class Act
  • Most Luminaries Sold: A Class Act
  • Team which Raised Most Money Overall, all categories A Class Act

2011 Relay for Life: Adorable Miss Caroline Gardner

Erica Higginbotham looks adoringly at niece Caroline Kay Gardner, the daughter of her late sister, Sarah Kay Irvin-Gardner, at the 2011 Relay for Life. Caroline is now 11 months old. She was born June 28, 2010. The beautiful baby is already demonstrating the poise and charm of her mother and was very warmly received by the crowd at the 2011 Relay for Life.
