Black, Lorena "Mrs. Lorena", 89, of Louisville, KY, passed away May 23, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St. Liberty, KY, Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 2pmET/1pmCT.. Burial will follow at Calvary Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at O.D White and Sons Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third St., Louisville, KY, from 2pm-6pm and Thursday, May 26, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home from 10am-2pmET/9am-1pmCT.



She was born in Poplar Hill, KY.

She was a former teacher in Casey County Schools, and a member of Hikes Point Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Black; son, Danny Carlyle Black; sister, Agnus Black and her parents Willie and Mintie Hopper.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sons: Calvin Black (Susie) and Neil Black (Brenda)

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • And sister, Pauline
