ACHS Drama Class play Pirates and Petticoats is tonight By Joanne Held News from the Adair Co. High School Drama Department The Adair County High School Drama Class' play, Pirates and Petticoats, by Pat Cook, will be presented tonight, Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 7pmCT, and again tomorrow night, Friday, May 20, 2011, at the Adair County High School gym, 526 Indian DR, Columbia, KY. The play is a two-act pirate adventure. The ruthless Cap'n Ball (Jacob Brehm), is the meanest pirate in the Caribbean. He confronts adventure seeking male librarian and a crew of lady pirates. At the "Din of Thieves Inn," Squire Juan (Jeremy Norris), his lady friend Coral Reef (Kacie Wolfe), and pirate Mac Rell (Derrick Overstreet) scheme to shanghai hapless librarian Fisher Cutbait (Jordan Coomer) for Cap'n Ball, but things go awry. When Cap'n Ball returns to the inn he's met there by a British officer, Milo Openseas (Nathaniel Johnson) with a warrant for his arrest. Just like in the movies, swords clash and rogues and good guys appear from nowhere. One surprise twist follows another. Other performers in this delightful show are Dallas Fair, Jami Tucker, Monica McElyea, Ben Holt, Danielle Keriekes, TJ Coffey, Emily Corbin, Jeremy Mackin, Laura Henry, Melanie Alexander, Destiny Mardis, Danielle Symmes, Desiree Kerekes, Emily Bernard, Matt Owens, and Brando Fausto. They are supported by the crew of Felicia Morgan, Audra Turner, Carrissa Carter, Cindy Eaton, Whitney Frost, Courtney Shuck, Vanesa Smith, Ashley Antone, and Megan Shuck.
