Great Wooded South Lexicon VI: Borrying from Cumberland Co., KY Previous Lexicon: Great Wooded South Lexicon V: Unthaw, fanger, and more Next Lexicon: Great Wooded South Lexicon VII: Pull the ears back, plus more By Billy Joe Fudge, Retired District Forester Kentucky Division of Forestry Many of this week's Great Wooded South Lexicon words were gleaned during a brainstorming session on the Cumberland County side of Greenbriar Ridge with Delpha Dulworth, her two daughters Joan Carol, our local massage therapist, and Sherrie, who has just recently been accepted into the Columbia University School of Journalism in New York, New York.
