LWC Seminar to focus on pay and benefits for new businesses

By Duane Bonifer

COLUMBIA, KY - Entrepreneurs need to make sure that they align their employee pay and benefits with the business plan. Techniques for this will be the focus of a free seminar on compensation and benefits as part of the Lindsey Wilson College series of seminars on Build Your Own Job at 11amCT on Wednesday, May 11, in the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining Center, 430 Helen Flatt DR, Columbia, KY.

At the seminar, would-be business owners will learn that if they pay too much for salaries and benefits, they can run out of money. But pay too little and risk not getting the level of talent needed to beat the competition.

Presenters at the seminar - students in a class on pay and benefits in the LWC business program - will show ways to find the middle ground on salary decisions.
