Second ACHS Project Graduation meeting is May 10, 2011

22nd Year for Project Graduation Party. Party is last time many will be together before embarking on post high school lives

By Brenda S. Mann
News for ACHS Project Graduation

The second 2011 Adair County High Project Graduation planning meeting is being held Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 5:30pmCT in the Adair County High library, 526 Indian DR, Columbia, KY.

Project Graduation is an annual event held to honor our high school graduates. This is the twenty-second year that juniors, seniors, and their invited guests will enjoy a safe, alcohol/drug free Project Graduation party following graduation. This event signifies the end of an era for these graduates and is the last time that many of them will be together before embarking on their post high school lives. This special celebration sends a clear message to our students that we are proud of their hard work and accomplishments, and that we care about their safety.

This memorable and entertaining event would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of community members, businesses, parents and educators. In previous years your generosity has sponsored valuable prizes, cash, contests, games, food and fun. Since this event is supported through community funds and volunteers, we once again are asking for your help to continue this worthwhile tradition for our students. Graduation is currently scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2011.

Anyone interested in assisting with this event for our 2011 graduates is asked to attend this meeting or contact Ellen Zornes at (270) 384-3400, Brenda Mann at (270) 384-2476 or Angela Dean at (270) 384-4343. As always, we appreciate all our community does to support our students!
