He was a member of a respected Burkesville, KY family strong family ties in Cumberland and Adair Countes of Kentucky and in Indiana.and was a long time employee of the Marion Co., IN School System

Lanis "Pean" Davidson, 75, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services on Friday, May 6, 2011, at 1pmCT, at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main ST, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Bob Thrasher officiating. Burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4pm-9pmCT on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, in Burkesville, KY


Lanis (Pean) Davidson, Cumberland Co., KY (1935-2011)

Lanis was born in Burkesville, KY on August 29, 1935. He was the son of the late Lennie Long Davidson Ward, and the late William "Wid" Jennings Bryan Davidson. He died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Glasgow, Barren Co., KY, at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 5 days.

He was a longtime employee of the Marion Co., IN, School System.

Survivors Include the following:
  • Two sons: Joe Davidson and Wife Joyce of Burkesville, KY; Stevie Davidson of Burkesville, KY; Mark Willoughby.

  • One daughter: Lisa Davidson of Middletown, IN

  • One brother: Billy Davidson and Wife Margaret of Indianapolis, IN

  • Five sisters: , Anna Burton and Husband Donald of Columbia, KY; Arthia Jones of Fishers, IN; Kay Davidson of Lisle, IL; Louine Sinclair and Husband Odis of Campbellsville, KY; Regina Burton and Husband Zina of Columbia, KY

  • Granddaughters: Candi Norris, Chelsie Calvert, Valerie Lone; Kaitlyn Castro, Ruby Castro

  • Grandsons: Michael Calvert, Peyton Willoughby, Derrick Castro, and Stevie Joe Davidson

  • Two great grandchildren: Brooklyn Lone, and Preslee Norris
