Bob Barnes report: At work in Tanner, Alabama Bob has dropped off money and goods and has let everyone know that the gifts come from Columbia, KY, and made sure they know where we are Alissa Barnes Bob is working in Tanner, Alabama, a small town much like Columbia or Greensburg. He said the town is about half gone. Whole subdivisions were wiped out. He was able to work quite a bit yesterday, but today has been very rainy and not a lot can be done. He has loaned his generator to a family who has been without electricity since Wednesday. The money and goods have been dropped off to a central location to be disbursed as needed. He has told everyone that the donations are from Columbia, KY, and has made sure they know where we are! He has taken many pictures, but there is no internet service able to post them. Hopefully that will change soon. I will update by email until then. Thanks so much. s/Alissa Barnes This story was posted on 2011-05-03 14:54:51
