Over 700 registered at the 2011 Adair County Farm, Home & Garden Expo at Adair County Elementary School (ACES) yesterday, Saturday, April 30, 2011, according to Nick Roy, Adair County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources.



It was a perfect day for the event, with clear skies, sunshine, and a cooling breeze. There were demonstrations, exhibits, raffles, and even free lunch, served by the Green River Cattleman's Association.

There were petting zoos, and garden supplies for sale. Several photos have been posted, and there are more to come, we're sure. Watch this story as additional information and photos are added, on Sunday, May 1, 2011

2011 Farm, Home and Garden Expo: Unclouded day

The Front and Back Parking lots at Adair County Elementary School were packed with cars, as, according to Adair County Extension Agent Nick Roy, over 700 people registered for the event. Displays in the gymnasium were packed, and several vendor booths and exhibitions were conducted in the parking area.

ACGC - Day and Day partnership paying off

The partnership is paying off between Day and Day Feed and Pet and the Adair County Garden Club. Julie Combs, left of Day and Day presented Barbara Armitage, President of the the Adair County Garden Club and the formulator of Adair County Wild Bird Seed Mix, with a check for $188 as the club's royalty on the first four tons of the seed sold. Day and Day is the exclusive distributor of Adair County Wild Bird Mix. Both parties have been pleased with the arrangement. The royalty money goes to fund Adair County Garden Club projects. The presentation was made during the Farm, Home, and Garden Expo on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
