News from Lindsey Wilson College

The Lindsey Wilson Concert and Jazz Bands will present their second annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 7:30pmCT at the Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard DR, Columbia KY, on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Among the works to be performed by the concert band are "Dreams and Proclamations,", by Roland Barrett, "An American Elegy," by Frank Tichelli, and others. The jazz band will be performing "Straight No Chaser," by Thelonious Monk, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," by Hughie Prince, and others.

Tim Allen, retired Adair County director, is in his second year of service at LWC.



The Lindsey Wilson College Band personnel includes:

  • Flutes: April Bullins, Richmond, KY; Leanna Begley, Lebanon, KY; Carrie Cassetty, Franklin, KY

  • French Horns April Bullins, Richmond, KY; Caitlyn Harrod, Springfield, KY; Marybeth Campbell, Owenton, KY

  • Bassoon: Kendra Phillips, Radcliff

  • Baritones: Stephen Graves, Columbia, KY; and Cameron Barnett, Columbia, KY

  • Trombones: Jacob Bryant, Louisville, KY; Aaron Hornbuckle, Shepherdsville, KY; and Noel Wilson, Owenton, KY

  • Clarinets: Kisha Burton, Columbia, KY; Julie Wilson, Columbia, KY; Brandi Moore, Columbia, KY; Brittany Martinez, Columbia, KY; Chelsea Wethington, Arlington, TN; and Josie Hollingsworth, Pineville, KY

  • Bass Clarinet: Emily Carnell, Shepherdsville, KY

  • Tubas: Todd Smith, Columbia, KY; Tyler East, Monticello, KY; James Brown, Madisonville, KY
