Bro. Wendell Hadley, Adair Co., KY (1942-2011)

He was a minister for over 30 years and served several Separate Baptist churches in Adair and Russell Counties. He was a member of a large, highly regarded Adair County family and was the owner of Anna's Garden in Russell Springs, KY and was a farmer.

Bro. Wendell Hadley, age 68 years of Allen Schoolhouse Road, Columbia, KYpassed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at 6:28amCT, at his home after several months illness.

The funeral service will be Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 2pmCT, at Free Union Separate Baptist Church, 4642 Sano RD, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Casey Davis the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Free Union Cemetery, The family request visitation after 3:00 PM on Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.



Bro. Wendell Hadley, Adair Co., KY (1942-2011)

He was born September 27, 1942. He was the son of the late Walter and Martha Bryant Hadley of Adair Co., KY. He died Friday, April 22, 2011, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 68 years, 6 months, and 26 days.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Grant Hadley of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • One son: Jamie Hadley and wife Annett of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Lisa Cowan and husband Darrell of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Winston Hadley of South Carolina and Kermit Hadley of Columbia, KY

  • Four sisters: Geraldine Baldwin of Russell Springs, KY; Willowdean Gerno of Shepherdsville, KY; Carol Young of Shepherdsville, KY; and Connie Smith of Milltown, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Colton and Casey Hadley and Breanna and Brooke Cowan
