Annual unemployment improves, in area, 2009 to 2010 Five of the seven Columbia area counties show improvement in unemployment rates from 2009 to 2010, while one county, Taylor stayed the same, and one, Casey County, had a very slight increase. The numbers for the 7 County area are as follows:
