New Adair School District website up and running By Alan Reed News from Adair County School District Parents and the community will appreciate the new look. Adair County Schools has "flipped the switch" on its all new website at www.adair.kyschools.us. "The district has been working quietly on this project for months, and the new face of Adair County Schools has finally been un-veiled," says Carla Perkins, Technology Coordinator. "The public is in for a surprise." Considerable effort has gone into making the website user friendly and more functional. According to Gabriel Smith, Technology Assistant, "The layout just makes sense. The district news and calendar is right there for you and individual school links are very easy to find." Parents are now able to visit their child's school and classroom using a link from the district homepage. "Parents can ask questions and teachers will be able to provide answers and suggestions ," said Perkins. Another welcome addition is the "Student Services" section that allows parents to download important forms related to enrollment and immunization, and the Student Code of Conduct. Brenda Mann, Director of Pupil Personnel says that she is pleased that information that directly affects students is now readily available for parents. According to Superintendent Darrell Treece the project is the result of over a year of synchronized hard work. "Practically everyone in the district has been involved in one way or another," he said. "We hope the community is pleased with our efforts to make ourselves more transparent. We want our website to provide an excellent user experience." The site also features "trending stories" on the homepage so that visitors quickly get acquainted with many of the school issues that people discuss in Adair County. Photographs will be an important part in sharing information among employees, parents and the community. The website will be updated often. The URL is www.adair.kyschools.us.
