LWC Men's Tennis, 6, CU 3 at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex Click on Headline for story plus photo(s) By Chris Wells Sports news from Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY. -- Heading into singles play with a 2-1 lead, the Lindsey Wilson College men's tennis team put together three quick wins to seal the match against Campbellsville University en route to a 6-3 win on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex. Blue Raider senior Andrews Moraes won first at No. 2 with a 6-0, 6-3 win against junior Pablo Numbela and his classmate Andre Santos topped junior Angel Marquez 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4, allowing freshman Fabricio Morales to give Lindsey Wilson the win with a 6-2, 7-5 decision against junior Carlos Anton at the top seed. Before the singles results, Lindsey Wilson (9-5, 1-1 MSC) got on top of Campbellsville (11-4, 1-1 MSC) with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles by Moraes and Santos and an 8-6 decision at No. 2 from Morales and sophomore Victor Saez. Saez, from Vigo, Spain, gave the Blue Raiders their sixth win of the day at No. 3, beating Campbellsville sophomore Filip Pavlovic 6-4, 6-1. Freshman Joe Cox lost at No. 5 for Lindsey Wilson 6-0, 6-0 against junior Zac Malyon, while sixth-seeded Clinton Berry lost 6-1, 6-3 to Tiger newcomer Antonio Klie. Lindsey Wilson Men's Tennis hosts University of the Cumberlands of Williamsburg, KY at 12pm noon CT on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex, 399 Williams ST, Columbia, KY.
