Lenora Corbin, 83, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 6:45amCT, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Janes officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation wil be after 5pmCT, Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the funeral home.


Lenora Corbin, Adair Co., KY, native (1927-2011)

She was born July 22, 1927, in Adair Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Annie Helm Conover. She died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Corbin on September 29, 1990. She was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: James Earl and his wife Imia Corbin of Columbia, KY; and Jerry and his wife Sherry Corbin of Madisonville, KY

  • Two daughters: Peggy Gibson, Mary and her husband Jim England all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Woody Conover of Manchester, KY, and Ronnie Conover of Las Vegas, NV

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Twenty-three great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild

  • And a host of other relatives and friends

  • Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
