LWC pitcher Ramirez earns 3rd MSC Softball Player of Week

Lindsey Wilson softball team pitcher Anyibell Ramirez has earned a third of the season Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week Designation. The conference honor is the fourth of her career.

Ramirez, a Barinas Venezuela native, earned the title for helping 17th ranked Lindsey Wilson College put together a 14 game winning streak with four wins and two saves on the week in the circle.



The Barinas, Venezuela native recorded two wins in a doubleheader with St. Catharine (KY) University and one win against both West Virginia Tech and Shawnee State (OH) University.

Ramirez also posted a pair of saves on the week against the Golden Bears and Shawnee State.

Finishing 4-0 on the week with two saves, Ramirez put together a 0.28 ERA, striking out 50 batters while allowing just seven hits and one earned run.

The senior was involved in all six of the Blue Raider's games last week, throwing 25-1/3 innings. Lindsey Wilson is now 35-4 overall and 16-0 in MSC play.
