Adair Fiscal Court speedily OKs budget amendment Click on headline for full story, detailed list of additional revenue By Ed Waggener and Pen Waggener The Adair County Fiscal Court speedily approved, a budget amendment reflecting an increase in all funds of $1,273,985.14 for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011. The meeting started at 8pmCT, Wednesday morning, March 30, 2011, and was concluded in less than 5 minutes. The unbudgeted revenues came from unanticipated sources. The largest amounts included FEMA payments for disaster relief for the May 2010 flood and from the sale of two Mack trucks. The court voted 6-0 to approve the amendment, on a motion by Magistrate Sammy Baker (3), with a second by Joe Rogers (6). All magistrates, including Harold Burton (1) Daryl Flatt (2), Perry Reeder (4), Billy Dean Coffey (5). Magistrate Billy Rowe (7) was not present. Judge Ann Melton presided. Also present were Barry Corbin, County treasurer; Assistant County Attorney Ray Hutchison, Lisa Lee, recording secretary; Sheriff Harrison Moss, and Jailer Rick Wilson. Details of the amendment follow: A. Increase the receipts of ALL FUNDS COMBINED by a total of $1,273,985.14 to include unbudgeted receipts from: The court's regular meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month, in the basement of the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, at 7pmCT.
