Click on headline for access to full story with links to book chapters, available e-reader copies and softcover copies of his book, "Rivermen of the Cumberland" and latest photo. Chris Bennett, author of "Rivermen of the Cumberland," sent a photo, posted today, of a towboat locking through at Kentucky Dam, located on the line between Livingston and Marshall Counties of Kentucky. The photo submission was prompted by a photo by Shamarie Claiborne of a towboat on the Ohio at Henderson, KY and an article by Jeff Johnson, linked to that photo, about his father's life as an engineer on a tow. He writes with the accompanying photo, "I would love to work on one of these boats," adding, "I wonder if they are hiring?" Chris Bennett's epic river adventure, "Rivermen of the Cumberland," was one of, if not the, most popular serials ever posted on ColumbiaMagazine.com. It was later published in softcover.
