Chief Cross warns of new phone scam The Columbia Police Department is currently investigating a new phone scam in which residents are being called and harassed into giving their personal information. The scam artists are telling the residents they owe money for bills and are threatening to have the residents arrested. According to the Secret Service the calls are originating internationally. The Columbia Police Department would like to remind everyone to never give out personal information in these instances. s/Jason D.
