Casey Co., KY, driver injured. Swerves to miss deer, strikes tree

Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a one vehicle injury collision that occurred at 10:40 pm on Monday 3/28/11. Richard Marrapodi, age 22 of Liberty, was traveling North on Poplar Level Road approximately five miles North of Liberty. Marrapodi was operating a 1997 Nissan when he swerved to miss a deer and struck a tree.

Marrapodi, who was belted, was transported to Ephraim McDowell in Danville by Casey County EMS for non life threatening injuries.

Trooper Likins was also assisted at the scene by the Casey County Sheriffs Office.
