Wilbert Nance, Edmonton, KY (d. March 27, 2011)

He was a member of a large, respected Metcalfe Co., KY, family. He was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Edmonton Masonic Lodge 931 and of the Edmonton Eastern Star 470

Wilbert Nance, age 78, of Edmonton, KY, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2011, from 2pm-8pmCT at the funeral home. Masonic service will be held 7pmCT, Monday with Eastern Star service to follow.



He was the son of the late John and Lorena Wood Nance.

Mr. Nance was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was an Army Veteran, member of the Edmonton Masonic Lodge 931 and a member of the Edmonton Eastern Star 470.

He is survived by his wife Mary Nance of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Mark Nance of Edmonton, KY, and Gary Nance of Lexington, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Crystal Nance of Glasgow, KY; and Misty Nance of Edmonton, KY

  • Four great grandchildren Arianna Beard, Austin Clark, Haley Milton, and Syrus Sams

  • One niece: Martha Hurt of Knob Lick, KY

  • And one nephew: David Davis of Indianapolis IN
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Freda Gibson.Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
