Ovelene Eastham, 95, Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in Jamestown, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT, Monday, March 28, 2011, Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Frank Scott the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery, Hwy. 1680, Jamestown KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home.

She was born on Thursday, October 21, 1915 in Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Sophronie Whittle Stephens and the late G.R. Stephens. She died Friday, March 25, 2011, in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 95 years, 5 months, and 4 days.She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Eastham, and by two borthers, Ottis and Clisby Stephens; and six sisters, Marie Winfrey, Retha Stephens, Ruby Flanagan, Zilpha Flanagan, Rosella Long, and Matrie Mann.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Kuthbert (Vivian) Eastham, Russell Springs; Odell (Linda) Eastham, Somerset, KY

  • One daughter: Clemma (Dual) Godby, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Derek (Andrea) Eastham, Kristen (Joe) Lyons, David (Robin) Eastham; Sherry (Eric) Pickett; Mark (Tracie) Godby

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Pauline Kuhn, Russell Springs; and Lois Meeks, Jamestown, KY

  • She was a homemaker.
