Diann Atwood Hamm, 63, died Monday March 21, 2011 at her home in Russell County.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT,. Wednesday March 23, 2011, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, by Bro. David Coffey. Burial is in Whited Cemetery.Visitation is Tuesday 6pm-9pmET/6pm-8pmCT, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Wednesday from 8amET/7amCT, until the funeral service.


Diann Atwood Hamm, Russell Co., KY (1947-2011)

Born October 2, 1947, she daughter of the late Clay and Nettie Owens Atwood. She died Monday, March 21, 2011, at her home in Russell Co., KY, at the age of 63 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

She was a retired school bus driver for the Russell County Board of Education and member of the Free Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters: Terry J. Allen of Ohio, Sharon F. Martin of Tennessee, Melissa Rodgers of Russell Springs, KY

  • A son, Jeffrey Wayne Martin of Liberty, KY

  • A stepdaughter, Madonna Conover of Russell Springs, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Two step-grandchildren

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • Three brothers: Junior and Gerald Atwood, both of Ohio' and Roger Atwood of Richmond, KY

  • Two sisters, Marie Reeves of Indiana and Kathleen Shanklin of Liberty, KY
  • Her caregiver: Roger Hadley
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by daughter, Stacy Wheat; two brothers, J.C. and Bobby Atwood and four sisters, Irene Powell, Freida Santee, Julie Thompson and Joyce Roberts.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
