Four expired meth labs found Adair roadways in past week A spring time warning: f you see what you thinkmay be a meth lab, DO NOT TOUCH IT and immediately call the localLaw Enforcement. -Sheriff Harrison Moss Click on headline for article plus photo(s) By Harrison Moss, Sheriff of Adair County, KY Over the past week, the Adair County Sheriff's Office has found 4expired meth labs which have been left on the side of Adair County'sroadways. These labs were properly disposed of by the Kentucky StatePolice's meth disposal personnel. I would like to make the citizensof Adair County aware of the potential threat that these labscreate. The gases which could be inside of the container can be veryharmful if they are inhaled, and the liquid that can be present isvery acidic and can cause burns to your skin. The containers that are commonly used are 20 oz plastic soda bottles. In the accompanying photo, you can see a vent tube with a white substance inside of it coming out of the top of the plastic bottle and a white substance inside thebottle as well. If there is a liquid inside, do not go near it. Thisis the most common lab that is found on the roadways. Please becareful as you venture out this spring. If you see what you thinkmay be a meth lab, DO NOT TOUCH IT and immediately call the localLaw Enforcement. Thank You- - Harrison Moss, SAC This story was posted on 2011-03-18 20:20:34
