The old library: It was old and drafty, but it had character A Legacy of Service begun in the old library on Burkesville Street is carried on today in the Adair County Public Library located on Greensburg Street By LaVerne Jessee writes: I've enjoyed reading the comments about the old library on Burkesville Street. I began my career there in 1963 with the Kentucky Department for Libraries, Lake Cumberland Regional Office, which was housed there.
