Sharon Sue Burton, 61, of Columbia, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 3:07amET, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2011.

Sharon Sue Burton, Adair Co., KY (1949-2011)

She was born Wednesday, August 17, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Ruel and Josephine Furkin Moss. She died Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at the age of 61 years, 6 months, and 24 days.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Survivors her husband, Floyd Burton, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Jason and his wife Regina Burton of Russell Springs, Kevin Burton of LaGrange, KY

  • One daughter: Julie Burton of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Linda and husband David Loy of LaGrange, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Christina Burton, Tessa Prim, Amber, Brianna and Tristen Burton
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. These may be left at the funeral home.
