Click on headline plus photo By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College/Scottsville, KY campus SCOTTSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College Scottsville Campus celebrated the first Fat Tuesday in Allen County on Tuesday night at the Lyric on Main, 118 Main Street. Fat Tuesday marks the last day of eating rich foods before fasting during the 40-day Lenten season. On Tuesday night in Scottsville, more than 40 guests celebrated Fat Tuesday at the Lyric, the location of Scottsville's former movie theater. The celebration was the first known public celebration of Fat Tuesday, according to Scottsville Mayor Rob Cline. The Tuesday night event raised more than $2,500 for scholarships for students who attend the LWC Scottsville Campus. This school year, LWC enrolled 82 students at its Scottsville Campus.
