By Alan Reed
News from the Adair County School District

As a respected metal fabricator and machinist, Chester Taylor relies on his math skills every day. Taylor shared his real world knowledge and experiences with Ms. Jennifer Kemp's sixth-grade math classes at Adair County Elementary School yesterday.

Ms. Kemp told her students she hoped they will understand that math is an important part of most every job. Taylor enjoys sharing his love of math with students.

"You don't live till you give", said Taylor. "I hope I can make measurement practical and easier to understand."

Taylor brought along some of the tools of his trade to make his talk more interesting. Besides being a talented fabricator, Taylor is also the former principal of the area vocational technical school in Russell County.
