Josephine Grady, 79, of Campbellsville, KY, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2:08amET at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Donnie Walkup delivering the eulogyBurial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 6pmCT at the funeral home.



Josephine Grady, Adair Co., KY native (1931-2011)

She was born November 12, 1931 in the Bliss community of Adair Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Ember and Justa Strange Grady. She died Friday, March 4, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 20 days.

She was a member of Santa Fee Baptist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ember Grady, Jr.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Justina Hortense Sanders and Artilla Cooper both of Louisville, KY

  • Three sons: Samuel Hughes of Columbia, James M. Hughes & Clifford Hughes both of Louisville, KY

  • One step son: Merlin Duncan of Louisville, KY

  • One brother: Verner Grady of Louisville KY

  • Nineteen grandchildren

  • Twenty great-grandchildren

  • Two nieces

  • One nephew

  • And a host of other family members
