Joint Lenten luncheon services start Wed. March 9, 2011 at CUMC

The schedule for the 2011 Lenten and Good Friday Services, to be held at the Columbia United Methodist Church, 202 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY, has been released and includes Lenten services starting at 12:05pmCT followed by a lunch at 12:30pmCT each Wednesday. A Friday service, with no food served, service only, will be held at the Columbia Baptist Church, 201 Greensburg ST, Columbia KY.

Services: 12:05pm -12:30pmCT; Lunch: 12:30pm -1pmCT
  • March 9, 2011: Eunice Church of God of America, Praise Assembly of God, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and Columbia Presbyterian Church. Speaker: Rev. Bob McCann

  • March 16, 2011: Columbia United Methodist Speaker: Rev. Neil Janes

  • March 23, 2011: New Life for the Nations and Columbia First Church of the Nazerene. Speaker: To Be Announced.

  • March 30, 2011: Trinity United Methodist.Speaker: Rev. Darrell Treece

  • April 6, 2011: Columbia Christian Church. Speaker: Rev. Terry White

  • April 13, 2011: Columbia Baptist. Speaker: Daniel Marcum

  • April 22, 2011: Good Friday; Held at Columbia Baptist (no food, service only)Speaker: Rev. Jim Williams (Haven Mission)
Food will be served in the Fellowship Hall of the Columbia United Methodist Church immediately following each of the five Lenton Luncheon services. All offerings taken during the services will go to the Adair County Ministerial Association.
