J.T. Sneed, age 69 years of Columbia a longtime resident of Shepherdsville, KY passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 7:49 P.M. at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Doug Webb the officiating clergy. Interment in the Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis LN, Mt. Washington, KY. The family request visitation after 1:30pmCT, on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the funeral home.



J.T. Sneed, Columbia, KY (1942-2011)

He was born February 18, 1942 in Adair Co. KY. He was the son of the late: John Edwin and Evie Lee Janes Sneed. He died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 69 years, and 13 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Crane Sneed on Nov. 16, 2001.

Survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Jim Sneed of Sellersburg, IN; David Sneed of Bardstown, KY and Tim Sneed Bardstown, KY

  • Three brothers: Lester Sneed of Russell Springs, KY; Charles Sneed of Russell Springs, KY; Titus Sneed of Justice, IL

  • Two sisters: Alice Marie Murphy of Columbia, KY and Velma Walls of Edmonton, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Kolton Sneed, Sawyer Sneed, Katelyn Sneed, Alexis Sneed, Allison Sneed

  • And by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Mr. Sneed was a US Army veteran and a retired truck driver

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
