Blue Raider Baseball: Season-high 10 runs in upset of Union U. Raiders stay in Jackson, TN, for Saturday doubleheader with Union at Fesmire Feild By Chris Wells, Sports Information Director News from Lindsey Wilson College Athletics Jackson, TN - A six-run second inning propelled the Lindsey Wilson College baseball team to a 10-5 win over Union (TN) University today at Fesmire Field. The Blue Raiders (6-3) scored the game's first eight runs en route to handing the No. 16-ranked Bulldogs their first loss of the season. After scoring a pair of runs in the top of the first inning, 10 Blue Raiders came to the plate in the second inning in what proved to be the decisive inning. Lindsey Wilson's Drew Barrett, Ryan Williams, Lance Harrington and Kyle O'Hara all produced two-out RBI hits in the inning. While the Lindsey Wilson offense was clicking, Lindsey Wilson sophomore starting pitcher Daniel Pulliam (2-0) allowed just one run on five hits over his seven innings of work. Pulliam struck out five Union batters while allowing four walks. Lindsey Wilson scored a run in each of the third and eighth innings to extend its lead to 10-1 before the Bulldogs' comeback attempt. Union closed within five runs in the bottom of the ninth and had bases loaded with no outs. But Lindsey Wilson junior Jeremy Greene closed the door as he retired each of the three batters he faced -- including two by strikeouts -- to secure the 10-5 win. Williams led the Blue Raiders hitting attack with two hits and three RBIs. Harrington added two hits and a RBI in the win. Union's Jeremy Stack (2-1) suffered the loss allowing eight runs on six hits in 1-2/3 innings of work.
