Center of Kentucky Equine Short Courses to be offered

Classes will be be taught at Campbellsville, Columbia, and Greensburg, KY. Meals will be furnished with each class. Enrollment may be made at local extension office.

The Adair, Green and Taylor County Cooperative Extension Services are offering a three-part series of classes to current and prospective horse owners in and around the tri-county area. All ages are welcome.

Dates and topics are as follows:



  • March 8, 2011: Nutrition at Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY. Phone (270) 384-2317
  • March 15, 2011: Hoof Care at Green County Extension Office, 106 S. Public Square, Greensburg, KY. Phone (270) 932-5311
  • March 22, 2011: Forages at Taylor County Extension Office, 1143 S. Columbia AV, Campbellsville, KY. Phone (270) 465-4511
Classes will be taught by University of Kentucky Specialists, local Extension Agents, and farriers. Each class will begin at 5:30pmCT. There will be a meal provided for all participants at each meeting. Registration for the entire event is $30 per person. This will cover the costs of meals and reference materials that will be provided to each participant. There are limited number of registrations that will be accepted. Registration deadline is March 7, 2011.
