Raiders next game vs. CU, at Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson Athletics Viktoria Krell made her last game on the Biggers Sports Center court special with 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the 15th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team past Georgetown College 84-72 on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Biggers Sports Center. Fellow seniors Diondra Anthony and Bethany Spillman added 10 points each and sophomore Ashley Rainey posted a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds to go along with four assists and three blocks. Kourtney Tyra led the Tigers with 22 points and five assists, but also turned the ball over a game-high eight times. Mikkah Rogers joined her in double figures with 15 points on a 3-for-3 showing from 3-point range. The outcome was never in doubt for the Blue Raiders as they led the entire game, including a 48-35 advantage at halftime. Most of the game resembled a 3-point shootout with Georgetown knocking down 12-of-22 attempts for 54.5 percent and Lindsey Wilson connecting on 9-of-19 shots for 47.4 percent. For all of its success on deep shots, the Tigers struggled from the field, shooting just 39.7 percent (25-of-63). The Blue Raiders shot 55.9 percent from the field and outrebounded the Tigers 40-31. Georgetown drops to 10-17 overall and 6-10 in the Mid-South Conference, while Lindsey Wilson improves to 21-6 overall and 12-4 in the MSC.
