Janlyn Cooper Lloyd, 69, Hwy 910, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 10amCT, at the Salem United Baptist Church, with Elder Larold Gosser and Elder Royce Hart, the officiating clergy. Friends may call after 5pmCT, Monday, February 21, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, and after 8:30amCT, at the church.

Janlyn Cooper Lloyd was born Thursday, July 10, 1941, in Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Enola Popplewell Cooper and Arva Cooper. She died Thursday, February 17, 2011, in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at the age of 69 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Gene Lloyd.

Mrs. Cooper was a factory worker in the furniture industry. She was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: John Timothy Lloyd, Russell Springs, KY

  • Her step mother: Vontrice Cooper, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Billy Cooper, Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Theresa Cooper Atchley, Eaglesville, TN; and Michelle Cooper Williams, Terre Haute, TN

  • One step brother: Wayne Stephens, Macon, GA

  • Two Neices: Lisa Cooper Tucker and Angela Cooper

  • Special sister-in-law: Audrey Lloyd Glover, Jamestown, KY
