News from Lindsey Wilson College

Thursday night, February 17, 2011 was a big night for Lindsey Wilson College basketball player Viktoria Krell.

The senior forward from Ludwigsburg, Germany, scored 14 points, which were a big reason the Blue Raiders beat Shawnee State University, Portsmouth, OH, 68-61 at Biggers Sports.

The win gave Lindsey Wilson sole possession of second place in the Mid-South Conference. Krells 14 points also gave her 2,006 points in her Lindsey Wilson career, making her the second Blue Raider in the program to eclipse the 2,000-point plateau.

The all-time leading scorer in LWC history is Columbia, KY. resident Donna Burden Owens, who scored 2,213 points in her four seasons.

Krells final home game as a Blue Raider will be at 2pmCT on Saturday, February 19, 2011, as LWC plays Georgetown College of Georgetown, KY, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard DR, Columbia, KY.
