Kansas City, MO -David Clemens of Campbellsville University has been named the NAIA National Wrestler of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Clemens was selected based on his performances from February 7-13, 2011.

The senior set the program record for fastest technical fall, needing just 1:24 to post a 16-0 win over Kris Cope of Cumberlands (KY). Clemens went on to beat Shorter's (GA) third-ranked Raleigh Abbott with a 6-0 decision in the semifinals and collected a 13-3 major decision against 2010 NAIA 157-pound runner-up James Casadaban of Cumberland (TN).

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Clemens owns a 15-4 record with four pins, three technical falls and three major decisions to his credit.
