Houston "Gene" Henry, 72, was a native of Greensburg, KY. He departed this life Monday, February 14, 2011, at his home in Montgomery, IL.

Funeral Services for Mr. Henry will be conducted 10amCT, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway RD, Montgomery, IL, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet guests on Friday, February 18, 2011, from 4-9pmCT, at the funeral home in Montgomery.

Houston "Gene" Henry was born Wednesday, January 4, 1939 in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, to the late Houston and LeeAnna Henry. He departed this life Monday, February 14, 2011 at his home in Montgomery, Illinois, having attained the age of 72, 1 month and 10 days.

Houston "Gene" Henry had made a profession of faith in Christ.

Mr. Henry worked at Dieterle Memorial Home for thirty years.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters: Frances Bradley and Alice "Faye" Henry; and his brothers William Luther Henry and Lawrence Henry.

He is survived by his wife Judy Henry and the following:
  • His daughters: Carrie (Brian) Niesman of Oswego, IL., Belinda Henry of Little Rock, AR; Bonita (Nute) Haire of Elizabethtown, KY

  • His sons: Philip (Meredith) Henry and Ryan (Marianne) Henry of Montgomery, IL

  • His sisters: Nora (Ulysses) Brown of Little Rock, AR; Margie (Andrew) Jenifer of North Augusta, SC; Hallie Williams of Greensburg, KY; and Brenda Thompson of Campbellsville, KY

  • His brothers James (Rebecca) Henry of Oswego, IL and Rev. Louis (Nancy) Henry of Greensburg, KY

  • Plus a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
