She was a member of a respected Adair County family and was the Customer Service Manager at Walmart in Columbia, KY. She had worked for many years, previously, at Oshkosh.

Dorothy Grider, 62, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 1:35pmCT at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Troy Grider officiatingBurial in Grider Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the funeral home.



Casket Bearers: Mitchell Rooks, Chris Rooks, Billy Cowan, Brandon Cowan, Dougie Campbell, Doug Richard, and Bobby Sullivan.

Dorothy Grider, Columbia, KY (1948-2011)

She was born Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Green Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Nettie Burris Forsyth. She died Saturday, February 12, 2011, in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 15 days.

At the time of her death, she was Customer Service Manager at Walmart in Columbia, KY. She had worked at Osh Kosh for many years.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her daughter and son-in-law: Sonya and Jerry Campbell of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandsons: Dougie and Jacob Campbell both of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Jimmy Forsyth of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith "Possum" Grider and a sister, Wanda Milby.
