More on where iPhone gets the weather

Comments re article 42409 iPhone weather comes from Yahoo Weather

Tami Wilson writes:
Hey, Ed. Funny how that post about the -9 temp got curiosity going. I had the day off and couldn't help but check out the source of the report. My iPhone weather app which looks looks exactly the same as the one pictured, gets its data from the AccuWeather.com associated with the "World Weather Authority".Yahoo weather has The Weather Channel logo on its website, so I'm guessing that must be their source. Not of much importance, but I too, notice that the reported temps for various weather reporting agencies often vary for any given time. Have a nice day, Tami WIlson
Thanks. We still sticking with Dr. Stuart Foster and the Columbia Mesonet station as the ultimate authority on temperatures in Adair Co. -EW
