Larry Alexander, 67, of Columbia, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 7:25amCT at Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

A service to celebrate the life of Larry Alexander will be Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1pmCT, at Columbia Christian Church , 204 Campbellsville ST (MAP) with Bro. Jamie Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT, Saturday, and 7amCT, Sunday, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home and after 12pm noon CT, Sunday at the church.

Larry Alexander, Adair Co., KY (1943-2011)

He was born Thursday, June 24, 1943 in Carlos Township, MN. He was the son of the late Alfred and Stella Hamm Alexander. He died Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, and 16 days.

He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, was owner of Larry's Refrigeration and attended Purdy Separate Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Bricker Alexander in November 1981Survivors include:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law:Terry and Stephanie Alexander of Splendora, Texas, Tom and Gail Alexander of Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Joey Curry, Kim and Kevin Shepherd all of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Bruce Alexander of Spirit Lake, ID

  • One sister : Sharon Alexander of Rosemount, MN

  • Six grandchildren: Jessica Stapp, Evan Curry, Matthew Alexander, Kayla Shepherd, Cara Alexander, and Connie Dickson

  • Five great-grandchildren: Ahniya Tempel, Jonathan, Chris, Breanna and Anthony Dickson

  • His special companion: Phyllis Montgomery of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
