Lindsey Wilson College has record spring enrollment Record Spring enrollment follows record Fall 2010 enrollment By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College Columbia, KY- Lindsey Wilson College has enrolled a record number of students for the spring semester. The college's 2011 spring enrollment is 2,157, the largest spring enrollment in its 108-year history. The college's previous record spring enrollment was 2,091, set in 2010. The record spring enrollment follows a record fall enrollment of 2,554 students. This spring's record enrollment includes a record 890 undergraduate students living in college housing. A total of 772 undergraduate students lived on the A.P. White Campus last spring. LWC's growth has been fueled by additional academic programs - especially its bachelor of science degree program in nursing - and expanded co- and extracurricular offerings, including football, marching band and the Bonner Leader service-learning program. Since 1998, LWC's number of full-time faculty has more than doubled to its current level of 101. "Lindsey Wilson has implemented one of the most aggressive building and expansion programs among Kentucky's 20 private colleges and universities, which has led to record enrollments," said Lindsey Wilson President William T. Luckey Jr., who has been the college's eighth president since July 1, 1998. "We have not only added buildings to the campus, but we have also invested millions of dollars in our academic programs. The college is a different place from what it was even 10 years ago, and students have responded to our initiatives in record numbers." In December, LWC awarded a record 365 degrees, the largest winter commencement in college history. In 2009-10, a record 521 students were graduated from the college.
