Robert Alton Brewington, 76, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011, Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at 2pmCT at Burkesville Cemetery, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial in the Burkesville Cemetery (MAP).Visitation after 11:30amCT, Tuesday, February 08, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Inc. 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY

Robert Alton Brewington (1934-2011)

Robert was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Tuesday, May 8, 1934. He was the son of the late Nannie Clyde Spears Brewington, and the late Marvin Luther Brewington. He died Saturday, February 5, 2011, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 28 days.

He was retired from Armor Packing Company in Louisville, KY and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his 5 Brothers, Johnny Brewington; Keith Allen Brewington; Lyle Simpson Brewington; Paul Brewington; and one infant brother. 2 Sisters, Jewell Smith; Mae Brewington.Survivors Include:He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brewington, Burkesville, KY and the following:
  • Four daughters: Angela Sheffer of Louisville, KY; Sherry Rhoton of Shepherdsville, KY; Staci Ogle of Jackson, MS; and Teresa Brewington of Murfreesboro, TN

  • Four bothers: Billy Brewington of Louisville, KY; Fred Brewington of Indianapolis, IN; and Kenneth Brewington and Reid Brewington both of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sisters: Gertie Collins of Glasgow, KY; and Pearl Janes of Hodgenville, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Ashley Sheffer, Hayley Ogle, Jason Shefferd, and Nicholas Rhoten
