Obituary: Ricky Bennett, Adair Co., KY (1957-2011)

He was a member of a respected North Adair Co., KY family. He was a former truck driver and a member of the Freedom Church of God. He was a native of Jefferson Co., KY. He will be buried in his ancestral Adair Co., KY

Ricky Bennett, 53, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Norton's Hospice Inpatient Unit in Louisville, KY.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011at 1pmCT at Bennett Cemetery, 4650 Pelham Branch RD (MAP), Columbia, KY, with Rev. Gerald Reliford officiating. Burial to follow. There will be no visitation.



Ricky Bennett, Adair Co., KY (1957-2011)

Ricky Bennett was a son of the late Almer Rollin and Delsie Coomer Bennett. He was born Sunday, March 1, 1957 in Jefferson Co. KY. He died Friday, February 4, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 53 years, 11 months, and 3 days.

He was a former truck driver and a member of Freedom Church of God.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Richard Bennett of Cincinnati, OH

  • One daughter: Patty Lynn Bennett of Cincinnati, OH

  • A daughter in law: Stacie Bennett of Cincinnati, OH

  • One brother: Dennis Bennett of Plant City, FL

  • Five sisters: Brenda Hart, Barbara Reynolds & Eva Jewel Burkhead all of Louisville, Violet Scott and Pattie Tucker both of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Alex Davis, Mackenzie Lynn Bennett, Makayla Logsdon
