Obituary: Fredrick Boger, 81, Russell Co., KY

He was a native of Shelby Co., IN, a machinist for the Ford Motor Co., and a US Army Veteran. He was the head of a large, respected family and leaves 42 direct living descendants. Funeral services and visitations will be held in both Russell Springs, KY, and Shelbyville, IN, with interment in Lewis Creek Cemetery in Shelby Co., IN

Lawrence Fredrick Boger, 81, W. Wilson RD, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, February 2, 2011, at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 5pmCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Josh Owens the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Bonna Willis. Visitation will be after 2pmCT, Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel.



Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelbyville, IN, on Monday February 7, 2011. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 7, 2011, at 10amET/9amCT, at the Lewis Creek Baptist Church, 5998 S. State RD 9 (MAP), Shelbyville, IN with the funeral there to follow at 11amET/10amCT.

Lawrence Fredrick Boger, Russell Co., KY (1929-2011)

Lawrence Fredrick Boger was born Saturday, November 2, 1929, in Shelby Co., IN. He was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Gosch Boger and Charlie Russell Boger. He died Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 1 day.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Boger, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Five children: David Boger and Mike (Cheryl) Boger, all of Russell Springs, KY; Ronia (Ron) Cox, Waldron, IN; Greg (Susan) Boger, Cave City, KY; and Ann Adams, Flatrock, IN

  • Two sisters: Lois Wolford, Shelby Co., IN; and Ceolia Boring, Florida

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • Twenty one great grandchildren
He was a machinist for Ford Motor Company. He was a US Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shelby Boger; a borther, Charles Eugene Boger, and two sisters, Martha Lay and Evelyn Jackson.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
