He was retired from Hill Bros. Veneer in Indiana and attended Hwy 78 Full Gospel Church

Vitis Johnson, 81 died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at his home in Casey Co., KY.

Funeral services are 2pmET/1pmCT, Saturday, February 5, 2011, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home , 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, by Bro. Ricky Hogue. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, from 9amET/8amCT, until funeral service.

Vitis Johnson, Casey Co., KY (1929-2011)

Born March 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Millard and Betty Allen Johnson. He died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, in Casey Co., KY, at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

He was retired from Hill Brothers Veneer in Indiana and attended Hwy 78 Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include wife, Bula Nadine Burton Johnson, of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Three sons: Michael Ray and Mitchell Johnson of Liberty, KY, and Douglas Glenn Johnson of Indiana

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • A great-grandchild

  • Two brothers: Shirley Johnson of Liberty and Willis Johnson of Indiana

  • Two sisters: Imogene McGaha and Mary Burton both of Indiana
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Oval , Omer, Wilbert, Lucian and Uril Johnson; and three sisters, Margie Burton, Pauline Adams and Ruby Curry.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
