Obituary: Albert (Alb) Kerns, 72, Russell Co., KY

He was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY family with strong ties in Russell and Adair Counties, KY

Albert "Alb" Kerns, 72, Russell Springs, KY, died Sunday morning at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service for Albert Kerns will be at 2pmCT, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, at the Bernard Funeral Home.



He is survived by the following:
  • His wife: Myrtie Burton Kerns, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three children: Keith Kerns, Jeff Kerns, and Vicky Smothers, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Two step grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Five brothers: Fred Kerns, Columbia, KY; Joe Kerns, Paul Kerns, and Ricky Kerns, all of Russell Springs, KY; and Dwight Kerns, Jamestown, KY

  • Three sisters: Jeanette Doss, Columbia, KY; Loretta Bell, Florida; and Shirley Lawless, Russell Springs, KY
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
